Our Program
The At-Risk and Adjudicated Youth Program, operated by the Pittsburgh Mount Oliver Intermediate Unit 2 at Allegheny County Jail and Highlands Detention at Shuman Center, is dedicated to helping students realize their full potential. Guided by a vision of creating a supportive school community, the program delivers individualized academic, social, and emotional growth. With small class sizes and accredited high school courses, students can earn transferable credits or a Pittsburgh Public Schools (PPS) diploma. Comprehensive Special Education services are available, ensuring all students—regardless of circumstance—receive the support they need to succeed.
